11 days/10 nights KENYA BIRDS PHOTOGRAPHY SAFARI
Day 01: Nairobi
We arrive for the Kenya Birds Photography Safari through Nairobi; The tourism capital of Kenya. Depending on your arrival time and how tired you may be from your flights, you can add an extra bird watching experience this afternoon. Otherwise, you can relax and enjoy the local city birds at your hotel. Overnight in Nairobi.
DAY 2, 3 & 4: SAMBURU AND BUFFALO SPRINGS NATIONAL RESERVE
Then we head north, crossing the equator . to Samburu This amazing reserve hosts some very unique wildlife such as Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk, Grevy’s Zebra and Reticulated Giraffe; most of which are not easily found south of the equator. We also explore neighbouring Buffalo Springs National Park; a great location for our Kenya bird photography safari. Our game drives produce many wonderful birds and we explore the different habitats of the area. We spend most of our time here birding and photographing these fascinating birds. Nights in Samburu.
Day 05: MT. KENYA
We then continue our Kenya Birds Photography Safari and head to the magnificent Mount Kenya. We spend time in a beautiful forest cabin. You can watch the shy animals come out of the forest to drink and eat in the waterholes in front of the lodge. Here you can also enjoy bird watching in the highland forest. There are many forest birds to see and photograph here. A night in Kenya.
Day 06 & 07:LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
After observing birds in the forest of Mount Kenya, we will continue with photographing Kenyan birds. safari to the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is known for the mighty Lake Nakuru. , which originates from a freshwater lake at the heart of a large ecosystem. Local mammals include black rhinoceros, white rhinoceros, African buffalo, leopard and African lion. Overnight in Nakuru.
Day 08 ,09 & 10: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
Emerging from the annual wildebeest migration, often considered the 8th wonder of the world, the Masai Mara National Reserve is the crowning glory of our Kenya bird photography safari. During the following days, you will learn about this magical destination with the help of our safari guide. Enjoy exciting game drives tracking big game (African buffalo, African elephant, African lion, leopard, black rhinoceros), big cats – lion, cheetah and leopard and more. Nights in the Mara.
Day 11: MASAI MARA NAIROBI
Today we enjoy an early morning game drive in the Mara; we are looking for more species for our photo safari. We then go across the Rift Valley to Nairobi. Then we go to the airport; ends with a wonderful Kenyan bird photo safari.
